Living Your Truth

Neon Conversations

I recently stopped by The Neon Woman podcast for another meaningful conversation. Neon Woman is a platform for inspiring women from all different walks of life. On the show, they chat about their origin stories, their journeys, and the neon colors that they have to share. On the show, we use our voice to inspire, empower, educate or advocate. It’s about living your truth and being true to yourself.

My last interview was on Linda’s Corner. On this interview, I shared my origin story from being adopted as a child, The childhood trauma that I experienced, My path to adulthood after those experiences, My journey with the church, Finding God, My memoir, What it means to be a neon woman and so much more. Through my talks, I try to raise awareness to difficult topics and empower and inspire others who may have also experienced the same.

Living Your Truth

I am very passionate about life and about investing in yourself, living in the moment, and accepting and embracing it all.

It took me to release my memoir to accept my past, my foundation and how my epitome came about. How I was naturally able to see the chapters or the seasons in my life and create the essence of me. How I was created. It was a struggle and a process to accept that and live in the moment with unexpected expectations and enjoy it. Embrace those that love and support me. Investing in myself, being proud of me.

I am embracing this opportunity and looking at things the way they really are instead of how they could be. I am thankful, I am grateful and feel blessed for the opportunity. Once this earthly life we have is over, it is over!

God always takes us through situations and circumstances. We should never second-guess our moment and why things are the way they are because truly, there is always a reason. Everything happens for a reason. So I believe my reason is to live my motto. So I can tell others what I just experienced and lived through.

“There were many times that I wanted to give up. There were many times that I wanted to give in”

~ K.I.M

The host asked me to share my journey and foundation with the listeners. I shared the story of being dropped off and how it shaped my foundation. I advocate for mental health because I had to seek that throughout my journey and I wholeheartedly recommend it. It took me from one season to another in my life. If it had not been for the assistance I won’t be where I am now.  Writing that entire journey of my life gave me an acceptance in a sense to continue to work with my therapist to get to where I am now in my season of life. Every day is a process but it is very rewarding to invest in you, and love you Accept you for who you are.
